Aaron Licker is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, with a firm background and foundation in somatic practices and
Eastern intellectual traditions. Aaron utilizes the synergistic properties of acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutritional
counseling and exercise to treat pain, male reproductive health, quality of life issues as well as internal and sports
medicine.
With almost twenty years of experience and practice with the esoteric somatic movements of the Pek Ho Pai lineage under
his teacher, the fifth generation lineage holder, Lim Hong Goan, Aaron gained an understanding of the core principles of
the Chinese view of health. Human health is an on-going process, which involves all aspects of the patient’s lives.
This understanding underscores and permeates all of Aaron’s treatments.
Aaron received and Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in philosophy with an
emphasis in Eastern scholarship. He then attended the well-respected and prestigious Emperor’s College of Traditional
Oriental Medicine where he received his formal and systematic education in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and
Chinese differential diagnosis. During his studies, Aaron discovered an affinity and respect for the classical Chinese
acupuncture methods, as delineated in the texts of the Huang Di Classics. These studies are integral to the way Aaron
practices medicine. Aaron holds a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine, and continues his studies with his teacher,
Lim Hong Goan, with his periodic journeys back to Asia.
